Adult Day Health
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Adults with a wide range of health conditions routinely attend and benefit from Adult Day Health services. Generally, program participants should be able to bear their own weight, not require bed rest and exhibit appropriate behavior that does not put others at risk.
We care for seniors who may not be able to stay at home alone during the day because they:
Need assistance with activities of daily living
Have physical impairments or chronic health conditions
Have Alzheimer's disease or other dementia
Are socially isolated
Are unsafe at home alone
Younger adults we care for (age 18 and older) may have experienced a stroke or traumatic brain injury.

At LIFE's Adult Day Health, we practice a philosophy of person-centered care, recognizing each person's abilities and potential. We provide a rewarding, positive social environment, responding to each person's mind, body and spirit. An individualized care plan, based on interests, needs, abilities and personal goals is developed to ensure that participants receive the appropriate care, attention and services they need. This personalized care plan is reviewed every six months.
We believe that each person makes a difference and that everyone, regardless of age, should be independent and continue to grow and dream.
